Yes, they just can’t make a profit, and only the pax you flew can pay you back. They have to pay you the exact cost of operating the flight and nothing more.

What is this?
An instructor’s flight test record. It shows the percentages of strong and weak spots where students are passing or struggling so you can keep track of areas you may need to work on in terms of how you teach the exercise
What 4 things does everyone need before taking a written exam, regardless of what rating or license it is for?

For someone looking to write the exam for a Gyroplane, RPP, PPL, CPL, or Class 4 how much flying time or groundschool do they need to have done first?
Gyro, RPP, PPL: must have completed all ground schooling and 5 hrs flight time
CPL: at least 25% of required flight hours
Class 4: all ground school and one half of the flying (right now CARs site says 25%…not sure what the right answer would be on the exam).
Instrument: must have done 5 hrs of instrument or ground time
ATPL:
* Integrated - ground school and Group 1 instrument flight test
* Other - 50% of flight time

Gyroplane, PPL:: 35 hrs total flight time
CPL: 75% of total flying time (150hrs)

- One exception to that last is FIR Ultra-light Aeroplanes must have at least 25 hrs out of total flying done
TC will grant credits to foreign license holders, provided that:
- Your license is medically valid
- Your license originates from a country that is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

What are the two options for converting a PPL?
- Foreign license validation certificate (allows you to fly and do flight training in Canada. Once they do their CPL training like normal they will then just apply for their CPL like another else in Canada)

The foreign applicant who is the holder of a current PPL is considered to have met the ground, flight, and written exam requirements, if they can show a log book and license. HOWEVER, you will need to do the following to convert the license to a Canadian PPL:
- Canadian CAT 3 or higher
- 90% on PSTAR
- Complete 5 take offs and landings within last 6 months
- Need to meet Canadian experience requirements. Other countries may have lower time reqs, especially for instrument time.
- Complete an English test
To convert a foreign CPL - aeroplane to a Canadian what do you need to do?
- Canadian CAT 1 medical
- Proof that experience requirements are met (log book)
- Write and pass the CPL writen exam
- Pass the CPL flight test
- Admin crap. Submit proof of citizenship and age, provide foreign license log for evaluation, submit forms, pay fee etc etc
How to convert a foreign multi-engine rating to a Canadian one?
- Must meet reqs set out in the CARS
- If you have 50 hrs PIC on multi-engine aeroplanes or have met the standards of the state that issued the rating in the preceeding 12 months, TC may issue yiu your Canadian Multi-Engine rating based on your current one.
- If not the above or if you cant produce proof that you have satisfied these reqs, you will need to do a flight test.

- Pass the INRAT and a flight test
