and cause of high levels of comp struggling to pass on costs to consumers, therefore, rev is constant but costs rising therfore profit is falling so tryna reduce costs by reducing the workforce

consuemrs moved to online shopping for big bulky food shops and dropping into convenience stores for a daily shop , so sainsburys dont need staff for big out of town shops no more but indtead mobile manager that can go across 3/4 concienve stores that may be close together in town
