If the letter of qalqalah is merged in another
letter, then we don’t apply qalqalah, for if it was
pronounced with qalqalah, the Idghaam would
break
Mistakes that occur when pronouncing qalqalah
1- Mixing its sound with a harakah of the 3 harakat
2- Ending its sound with hamzah
3- Extending its sound and prolonging it
4- Cutting off its sound from the letter after it
Characteristics without opposites

3-softness اللين
It is pronouncing the letters of Leenwith a natural ease and softness, and having the ability to be prolonged.
Its letters are : و ، ي with sukkonand preceded byfatha(َ )
4-Deviation الانحراف
It is the deviation of the sound of the letter due to the lack of its complete flow by reason of the tongue obstructing its path.
And its letters are: ل and ر.
Deviation of ل
The deviation of the sound of ل to
the sides of the tongue is because of
the obstruction of the front of the
tongue in its path.
Deviation of ر
As for of ر it is the opposite: the
sound deviates from the sides of
the tongue to its middle.
5-Repetition التكرير
It is the vibration of the tongue when pronouncing the letter ر due to the tightening of its articulation point.
The reciter should avoid the exaggeration of repetitionof the letter that causes the appearance of more than one ر
6-Expansion التفشي
It is the spreading of the sound of the letter
ش from the middle of the tongue and the upper palate until it hits the inside of the upper and lower teeth.
7- Prolongation الاستطالة
It is the movement of the tongue- when pronouncing -ض
from the back of the mouth until its tip touches the gum
line of the two top incisors, and this is under the effect of
the pressed air behind the tongue.
8-Al-ghunnah الغنة
It isa nasal sound that accompanies the pronunciation of م
and ن whether they have sukoon, harakahor shaddah.
However its length differs according to its state.
