Specific metabolic functions and prevent defiance diseases, also support the growth and function of the immune and nervous system

D in sunlight and K in the large intestine, K is good for blood clotting
What are the fat soluble vitamins and where are they found
A,D,E,K. Found in fatty or oily foods
What are the water soluble vitamins
Vitamin B and C
Where does the excess water soluble vitamins go
They are urinated
Where does excess fat soluble vitamins go
Absorbed into the adipose tissue and the liver, cannot be treated in urine
What are the benefits of correct intake of vitamin A & where is it found
Improved vision, also keeps skin healthy. Found in liver and fish oils
What are the side effects of the incorrect amount of B2
Sore throat, redness & swelling of the mouth
What are the benefits of the correct intake of B3, what side effects
Helps regulate normal psychological and nervous functions, side effects of intaking lower amounts are inflamed skin, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Where is B12 found and what does it help
Found in beans, fish, milk, cheese, eggs and incorrect intake damages memory and thinking
What are the downsides of not having enough folic acid
Severe birth defects (neural tube defects)
Where can you get vitamin C, and what are the benefits of vitamin C
Peppers, strawberries and potatoes. Maintaining healthy skin, blood vessels, bone and cartilage.
What are the defiencys from not having enough vitamin C
Anemia, exhaustion and bleeding and pain in the legs
What disease are you susceptible to if you take take in enough vitamin D
Rickets, osteoporosis and frequent fractures
