Q

Parts of the scapula ( lateral points)

A

Supra and infraglenoid tubercles that sit superior and inferior to the gelnoid cavity.

Glenoid cavity articulates with the humorous (ball and socket joint)

Q

Notch/foramen of the scapula

A

Superscapula notch/foramen. On its own there is a notch in the superior side of the scapula. When ligaments are involved it becomes an opening due to its connective tissue.

Q

Radius

A

Laterally when pronated and medial when supernated

Superior: Head and neck of radius, radial tuberosity (anterior)

Body (shaft)

Inferior: Styloid process (lateral)

Joint:
Humeroraidal, superior, head of radius articulates capitulum of humorous

Q

Ulna

A

Laterally when supernated and medial when pronated

Superior: Trochlear notch, Coronoid process, Radial notch, ulnar tuberosity. Olecranon (postier)

Body (shaft)

Inferior: Styloid process (medial)

Joint:
Humeroulnar, superior, head of ulna articulates with trochlea of humorous

Cornoid fossa (humerus) and coronoid process (ulna) meet during flexion

16
Q

Digits 1-5

A

Digits 1 (medial) moves to 5 (lateral)

17
Q

Phalanges

A

Three types of phalanges. Distal, middle and proximal.

Thumb=Interphalangral joint
Other fingers= Distal Interphalangral joint (DIP) and Proximal Interphalangral joint (PIP)

18
Q

Metacarpals

A

Connecting bone in-between Phalanges and Carpals. Has a head and base

Uses the Metacarpophalangeal joint

19
Q

Carpals

A

Carpals connect the arm to the hand. 8 bones to it: So Long To Pinky, Here Comes The Thumb

Uses the Carpometacarpal joint and Radiocarpal joint.

20
Q

Flexor retinaculum

A

Is what creates the carpal tunnel and is a retaining band of connective tissue.
