- Bacteria ingested in food or on food prepared in unhygeinic conditions.
- In Uk, poultry are vaccinated against salmonella to control the spread.

- Fever
- Abdominal cramps
- Vomitting
- Diarrhoea
caused by bacteria and toxins secreted by them

- Take antibiotics.

How is gonorrhoea spread?

- Sexually transmitted.

- PREVENTION: use of a barrier method of contraception such as a condom.
- TREATMENT: Antibiotics.

What are the symptons of gonorrhoea?
A
- Thick yellow/ green discharge from vagina or penis.
- Pain on urinating.

How has treatment towards gonorrhoea changed over time?
A
- It was easily treated by antibiotic pencillin, until many resistant strains appeared.
