Q

What are the evaluation points of failure to function adequately?

A

๐Ÿ‘Ž- possibly inaccurate- abnormality โœ–๏ธ always accompanied- dysfunction- some have psychological abnormality BUT live normal life- e.g. Harold Shipman ( GP ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ who killed ๐Ÿ”ช his patients- had wife ๐Ÿ‘ฉ and children ๐Ÿ‘ถ and supposedly lived normal life- educated as well- wouldnโ€™t expect)- some โœ–๏ธ function adequately BUT normal (e.g. bad day)
๐Ÿ‘- GAF scale use- assess degree- abnormality (coping with daily life?)- โ€ฆ used to diagnose abnormality if โœ–๏ธ functioning adequately
๐Ÿ‘Ž- 7 criteria- difficult to measure & analyse- subjective & โœ–๏ธ scientific ๐Ÿงช/objective- psychologists- cautious- using model- some criteria- ignored- normal to display- certain scenarios
๐Ÿ‘- easy- assess consequences- dysfunctional ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚โ€- measure level- functioning- e.g. absences- school ๐Ÿซ/work
