What is an Emergency grading?

A
15min response time.
Where an incident is reported to the police which is taking place and in which there is or is likely to be:
- danger to life
- use or immediate threat or use of violence 
- serious damage to property
- serious injury to a person
- crime in progress 
- offender is still at scene
- RTC with injury or road blocked
- evidence may be lost

What is a Priority Grading?

A

60 min response time.
Where an incident is reported and there is a degree of importance or urgency associated with the initial police action but an emergency response is not required.

What is a Priority 8 Grading?

A

8 hour response time.
A priority 8 grading should be considered where an incident is reported and it is acknowledged that the circumstances are not so urgent as to require a response within 1 hour but that have a degree of importance or urgency making them unsuitable for a scheduled response (diary appointment).
