What are the penalties?

  • Either way offence
  • 3 years maximum in prison
  • for going equipped for theft of a motor vehicle or TWOC there is also the option of a discretionary disqualification

What is a place of abode?

A

This offence s always committed away from where that person lives and sleeps.

It can never be committed at a place of work, unless the person also resides there.
