It is important, therefore, for healthcare professionals to be aware of their values

Through practice and personal commitment to an ideal, a professional goes beyond

Errors and failures, as well as the ideal, are included ini the stair-step model of professional transformation
What is the stair-step model of professional transformation ?
To meet the ideal you have to go up the stairs and flourish
If you slip down he stairs that’s time for reflecting on actions/consequences
At the bottom of the stairs int eh bare minimum of meeting social expectations and duties

Re-define the understanding of professional knowledge
Develop personal knowledge or self awareness
Evaluate the appropriateness of actions
Self Awareness is a prerequisite to being an authentic leader who can inspire others

Stage 1

-Involves a constructive analysis of the situation, examining feeling and knowledge
