Is power good or bad?

Although speech writers write for the presidents, they do so based on instructions and collaboratively with the president

Strong vigorous actions that have impact on others
Actions that arouse a positive or negative state in others
Concern for reputation or prestige

High Pow and Ach is empire building blueprint. Problem is they often take shortcuts and crimes. Martha Stewart had to go to jail for taxes, trump administration is super corrupt
The Introversion Inhibition Hypothesis
(1) Basics
Because traits set out the behavioral means to achieve goals there is a hypothesis that those with the wrong traits might not be able to achieve their potential for things. In this example, Obama is power motivated, had the dominance part of E but not the vitality.

Some were extraverted and some were low
All had power motives
DV was how high impact their careers were
Low E women did not do better even if they were high power
High E women who were also high power did
“Traits and motives interact in the prediction of behavior: Traits channel the behavioral expression of motives during the life course. Extraversion facilitates unconflicted expression whereas introversion deflects social motives away from their characteristic goals and creates difficulties in goal achievement.@
