A

There were significant correlations for all big 5
All for the socially less desirable end
Strongest was for e (-.5)
and Emotional Stability (N) -3.59

This paper showed tis was true for those both whop has autism and were given the big 5 assessment

And for a comparison between groups, those with autism and those without.

Meta-Analysis of association between big 5 and common mental disorders

A

All studies were cross-sectional so we cannot say the big 5 preceded the illness

Included depressive disorders, Anxiety disorders and substance use disorders

Suggests big 5 could be predictive for higher risk

Is big 5 enough to know someone?

A

No.

Need to also know what their life is like, what it was like in the past and what it might be like in the future. You need to know their desires, needs, wishes, goals, challenges and the unique way in which the person puts this all together and puts it into a narrative pattern to make sense of who they are
