fluid = general problem solving
crystalized = content knowledge already there

Cognitive flexibility is the ability to adapt your thinking and behavior to new or unexpected situations

Late emerging mental strength = wisdom when declining mental function
What are the 4 proponents of emotional intelligence?

Sequential is multiple longitudinal studies between sections
What happens to IQ if cross sectional studies are done? Longitudinal?
It decreases in cross sectional studies, but in longitudinal studies it increases unless there is control for drop outs then there are SOME declines
