MA: flexion is digits 2-5 @ MTP & PIP joints
PA: medial tubercle of calcaneal tuberosity, plantar aponerosis, inter muscular septa
DA: both sides of middle phalanges of digits 2-5
N: medial plantar nerve L5 S1
Quadratus Plamtae
MA: assists flexor digitorum longus with digits 2-5 flexion @ MTP and IP joints
PA: medial calcaneus
DA: flexor digitorum longus tendon
N: Lateral plantar N S1 S2 S3
Lumbricals
MA: MTP Flexion and PIP & IP Extension of digits 2-5
PA: flexor digitorum longus tendons
DA: medial aspect of extensor expansion over digits 2-5
N: medial 1; medial plantar nerve L5 S1, Lateral 3; lateral plantar nerve S1 S2 S3
Adductor Hallucis
MA: 1st digit adduction (supports transverse arch by pulling metatarsals medial)
PA:
Oblique head: bases of metatsadls 2-4
Transverse head; plantar ligaments of MTP joints
DA: lateral side of base of proximal phalanx of 1st digit
N:Lateral plantar N S1 S2 S3
Flexor Hallucis Brevis
MA: 1st MTP joint flexion
PA: plantar cuboid and lateral cuneiforms
DA: both sides of of base of proximal phalanx of 1st digit (contains two sesamoid bones)
N: Medial plantar nerve L5 S1
Plantar interossei
MA: digits 3-5 Adduction
PA: Plantar aspects of medial sides of shafts of metatarsals 3-5 (on big toe side)
DA: medial phalanges of digits 3-5
N:Lateral plantar nerve S1 S2 S3
Dorsal Interossei
MA: DIGITS 2-4 abduction @ MTP
PA: adjacent sides of shafts of metatarsals 1-5
DA:
1st - medial side of proximal phalanx of 2nd digit
2nd-4th: lateral sides of digits 2-4
N: Lateral plantar N S1 S2 S3
