They are tall orientated, commanding and show little interest in the individuals of the group

Males, team players and novices. It is also beneficial in a dangerous situation

- Perceived as controlling
- Stifles creativity
What is a democratic leadership style?
They are person orientated and value group opinions and contribution
What is a democratic leadership style most suited to?
Females, autonomous/associative learners and performers with a democratic personality
What is a laissez-faire leadership style?
The individual makes very few decisions and gives very little feedback, they let the group make their own decisions
What is a laissez-faire leadership style most suited to?
Elite/high-level athletes and by leaders who can’t employ other leadership styles

- Low productivity
- Lack of organisation
