They become determined, embittered and vengeful.

Don’t stop at 1-0. Go for 4-0 and annihilate them, leaving no way back.

When you defeat them, you leave no hope, no negotiation, and absolutely no room to manouevre.

When you win, you don’t stop. You go for the jugular. You plunder their lands, fuck their women and make them watch, take away EVERYTHING from them that could give them aid and comfort - not only material, but destroy their honour, cut off their hands, leave them completely and utterly hopeless with no way back.

It is not a chance at reconciliation, it’s only because they’ve been defeated.
