What is the primary dorsiflexor and eversion nerve?
Common fibular nerve
Common fibular nerve trajectory
winds superficially around the fibular head, thus, it is the most commonly injured nerve of the lower extremity
What is the most commonly injured nerve in the lower extremity?
Common fibular N
What happens if we injure the common fibular n?
Results in paralysis of all anterior and lateral crural muscles. The loss of dorsiflexion and eversion causes foot drop. Pt cannot raise tops and heel strike, they can only flop the foot down.
They have a high stepping gait.
They also have loss of sensation along the anterolateral leg and dorsum of the foot.
