What happens if LGIU 1 and 2 are INOP and, following L/G GRAVITY EXTENSION?
The nose and main landing gear doors remain open
BRAKING is NORMAL
NOSE WHEEL STEERING is NORMAL.
In normal operation, how do crews operate the landing gear?
Using the lever on the centre instrument panel
The LGIUs control the sequencing of the doors electrically
What powers the alternate braking system?
Yellow hydraulic system backed up by the brake accumulator.
What happens when Autobrake LO has been selected?
The DECEL light does not illuminate immediately after touchdown as it takes 4 seconds after GROUND SPOILER EXTENSION for autobrake LO to activate
Illuminates when actual decel is 80%
In normal operation what actuates all gear and doors.
The Green hydraulic system
What are the brakes for the main gear?
Carbon multidisc brakes actuated by either of the two independent braking systems.
How do the wheels stop during retraction?
Normal brakes for main gear
Friction pad for nose wheel
Max speed for gear extension safety valve?
260kt
(Higher than max speed for ext)
When does ECAM wheel page display?
After first Eng start until takeoff pwr
After gear extension until eng shut down
After any faults/warnings/cautions
Called up by crew
How is steering controlled?
Electrically controlled by the BSCU
(Brake and Steering Control Unit)

Normal
Alternate with antiskid
Alternate without antiskid
