When you try to pull the landing gear handle up and the handle wont go up, what’s wrong?
The system thinks the landing gear squat switch is still on the ground
What is the Maximum Landing gear speed?
Extended 292 kts
Extending 250 kts
Retracting 200 kts
What is wrong if one of the landing gear green lights does not illuminate.
It could have a bad light or that part of the gear is not down and locked.
How do you tell if a green landing gear light that fails to illuminate is a bad light.
Rotary Test Switch will illuminate all lights, if it’s still out then it’s most likely a bad light.
What makes the gear horn sound?
Throttle lever below 70%.
Speed below 150kts and gear not down and locked.
Additional: A Gear warning horn that cannot be silenced with the horn button will sound if flaps are extended to flap 35 with the gear not down and locked.
Describe the Emergency Landing Gear Extension Procedure?
- Landing Gear Handle - CHECK DOWN
- Gear Control Circuit Breaker - PULL
- Auxiliary Gear Control - PULL T-HANDLE AND ROTATE TO LOCK
- Rudder - YAW Airplane (if necessary to achieve down lock lights.
(Check visually if possible if landing gear has been released by the Uplocks prior to using the blowdown system. - Auxiliary Gear Control - PULL KNOB TO BLOW DOWN (for positive lock)
