Hydraulics Flashcards
Will the Hydraulic System work when you are in EMERGENCY?
No the Hydraulic system does not function normally in Emergency mode. Because the engine driven hydraulic pumps are the primary source of hydraulic pressure.
How does the Hydraulic System create pressure?
- With engine driven hydraulic pumps
- Enables system to build pressure to 1500psi.
- As pressure builds through approx 125-145 Psi a pressure switch illuminates HYD PRESS ON annunciator.
How do you know if an Hydraulic Pump is failed?
HYD FLOW LOW left or right hand light ON
(Indicates inoperative left or right hydraulic pump.
When does the HYD Low level annunciator illuminate?
When the fluid drops below the REFILL (0.2g) position
What does a HYD PRESS ON annunciator indicate if you are not using the hydraulic system?
Indicates that the hydraulic system is pressurised, even though you are not actively using hydraulic components like flaps, landing gear, speed brakes or brakes.
How would you correct a HYD PRESS ON annunciator indication if you’re not using the Hydraulic system?
Pull the circuit breaker.
When will the POWER BRAKE LOW PRESS annunciator illuminate ?
If the pump pressure switch detects less than 750 psi.
Will also illuminate the “Anti Skid INOP” Annunciator.
When does the HYD PRESS ON annunciator light illuminate?
When pressure builds up thru approx 125-145 psi.
With the loss of DC power, the system bypass valve fails to the open position True or False?
True.
