Archipelago
A large group of islands
Alluvial plane
A level or gently sloping surface formed of sediments laid down by streams or rivers.
Atoll
A string of closely spaced small coral islands, enclosing or nearly enclosing a shallow lagoon.

Cape
A piece of land jutting into the sea or some other large body of water.

The part of the sea floor that slopes gently down from the continents.

A fan shaped landform at the mouth of a river created by deposits if sediment.

A region of little rainfall where few plants and animals live.
Fjord
A long narrow arm of the sea bordered by steep cliffs, usually formed by glacial erosion.
Gulf
A large body of salt water that is partly enclosed by land.
Island
A love if land surrounded by water.
Isthmus
A narrow strip of land that connects two larger land areas.
Lake
An inland body of fresh or salt water.
Mountain
A high area of land with steep sides and sharp peak.
