Tundra
A tundra is a location with scarce amounts of trees due to permafrost and cold temperatures. The average temperature ranges from -40 C to 18 C
Biome
A biome is the largest geographic biotic unit, a major community of plants and animals with similar life forms and climate.
Shrub land
A shrub land is a mass of land that is hot and dry in the summer and cold and dry in the winter. Usually contains shrubs due to little water.
Rainforest
A location that stays warm annually, with steady rainfall. Contains 1,000 if different animal species and plant types.
Grassland
Almost always flat and broad areas, filled with grass and occasional trees. Grassland receive 500 to 900 m&m of rain annually.
Desert
The driest biome in the world, receiving less than 300 m&m of rain a year. The temperature ranges from 38 C (day) to -3.9 C (night).
Temperate Deciduous Forest
A forest located mid-latitude (usually), causing them to have 4 seasons. Deciduous forests receive an average of 1,000 mm rain a year.
Coniferous forest
Often separating Tundra biome and deciduous forests, and revives about 750 mm of rain per year. The average temperature us around 0 C (year round).
