-no the ice cube will need to be unfrozen, put in the mould, then refrozen

A

Breaking down the beliefs and assumptions that currently exist and opening up an acceptance and the need for change

Forces that are resisting the change must be confronted eg staff who are unsure if the change

A

how does KL stages of change can be used to assist effective change 6

A
  • unfreezing by:
    -seeking possible solutions to problems allow management to consider options before selecting the best one. helps to ensure that the change benefits the organisation
  • using consultation and communicating the vision to reduce the resistance to change. those involved will be apart of the change process
  • breaking down beliefs and assumptions to help employees understand the need for change

changing:

  • gradually implementing the change and monitoring the process carefully to ensure employees don’t feel overwhelmed

refreezing:
- reinforcing the new approaches to make them habits. this stops employees slipping back into old ways

-evaluation of the change allows the organisation to ensure that it was implemented correctly- corrective action should be taken if required to ensure the change is effective
