onset, duration, aggrevating activities, Pop, lock, giving way? Pop=ligament, Lock=meniscus, Giving way=ligament rupture or patellar dislocation.
Hx of injury?
hx of arthralgia, morning stiffness,
Hx of gout, RA, OA,
Allergies: NKMA
Medication: ibuprofen prn
FH: OA, RA, GOUT,
SH: Activities involved in, such as sports, exercise, walking, Work. Other Work hx.
Physical
General: WDWN, NAD
Heart: RRR no g/m/r/
Chest: CTAB
Knee: mild swelling, no scaring, patellar midline no subluxation.
no effusion, Negative drawer test, negative Lachman test.
DX
Knee pain unspecified
Plan
Diagnostics: Three-view x-ray of affected knee.
MRI if indicated.
Medication: NSAIDs prn for pain and inflammation. SE discessed.
RICE Therapy, Bace PRN,
Education: use of cold therapy, Diet, exercise weight loss.
RTC 1 week or sooner if needed.
