Bonal is an herbal liqueur produced in St Laurent du Pont, France just outside of the Savoie geopolitical boundaries and just northeast of Voiron where Chartreuse is produced.
It is produced form a blend of gentian, cinchona, and herbs of the Grande Chartreuse Mountains with a mistelle base. Traditionally drank neat with a twist though this drink mixes well with whiskies, sparkling wine, and hard cider.
