Why is Isreal important?
Isreal is the Holy Land where the faith began and Jesusalem is the Holy City.
What do they believe about the Shekinah
They believe that the prsenece of God, the Shekinah, resie eithin the last stadning wall of the temple where they write prayers and intentions onto slips of paper and place them into cracks of the wall.
What does the Torah tell Jews to do?
It instructs that Jews should go on Pilgrimage to Jersualem Three times a year during Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot.
However since the destruction of the temple Jews have ot veen able to fulfil the mitsvot but instead is an important freature of relugous life for many Jews.
Synagogues
Synagogues are traditioanlly oriented Towards Jerusalem and Jews position themselves towards the city whole reciting the Amidah (most important ancient prayed in Judasim said 3x daily)

Jewish people will try to visit Jerusalem where they will pray and worship God, building a closer relationship with him and their community.
