How does science relate to high Renaissance artists?
High renaissance artists were often referred to as a “Renaissance Man”, which meant that they were experts in more than one thing; they believed that to be the best artists they could be they needed to understand the science of what they were depicting, so they studied anatomy and biology in order to depict things correctly and naturally
How does the location of Venice shape the preferred painting medium of the area?
Venice is farther north than Rome, so it had more influence from the early northern renaissance. It also preferred oil paints as a medium
