-evangelical christians r literal + believe God created humans to ‘rule over’ nature. gives us the right to utilise the world’s natural resources. we have ‘dominion’ over nature.

  • We are gods khalifahs, appointed to care for the world
  • world must be safeguarded for future generations.
  • there is pattern and balance in the universe, known as fitrah. role of humans is to work to maintain this fitrah (balance) by being aware of the need to use the earth’s resources fairly.
