what is liturgical worship
worship which follows a set and structured pattern.
This might be a set pattern of prayers, or the use of a set service book as in the Church of England.
what is informal worship
worship that doesn’t have a set structure and is more spontaneous than liturgical worship. Services in Evangelical denominations are often more informal than traditional worship.
what is individual worship
worship done by yourself, improves personal relationship with god.
what is the Eucharist
the altar is prepared with the bread and wine. The Eucharistic prayer and Lord’s Prayer are said and people then share in the bread and wine.

deep love and respect for god

giving praise, which might include singing hymns

how do Catholics worship
liturgical, mass, every Sunday, midnight mass, Eucharist, christmas
how do Quakers worship
individual worship, use peoples houses for worship , sit in circle and in silence and then allow people to talk if they need. moves into informal worship
how do protestants worship
all 3 types of worship
liturgical- Sunday they go to church
individual- encouraged to pray individually throughout week
informal- evangelicals worship through song and dance
the importance of worship
- worship should not be superficial, but that they should worship God with all of their thoughts, actions and words.
- Prayer serves a number of purposes;
- Adoration
- Penitential
- Praise
- prayer is how Christians communicate with God.
- Jesus taught disciples to pray, encouraging them to pray to God as a father. this suggests that prayer is something to be learnt.
