Quran
Muhammad’s thoughts were written here,
There are 114 chapters called Surahs, and
verses are called Ayat, it is 1 tenth the size of the bible, organized from longest to shortest verses, Muhammad acknowledges the old and new testament as well as calling Bible characters prophets, it is also considered the direct words of God
4 Prophets
The Scrolls given to Abraham, The Torah given to Moses, The Psalms given to David, The Gospel given to Jesus. Muslims believe that these texts were lost or corrupted
(people who follow Islam are called Muslims)
Monotheism
There is only one God. This was a significant statement during Muhammad’s time
God’s Word
God has revealed His Word to the prophets mentioned. He has detailed how to live peacefully and submit to
Him. The Quran is the only book left with true authority. ‘Islam’
literally means submission.
Life after death
heaven or hell based on good/bad deeds. Allah/God
may tip the scales towards heaven for some by providing mercy.
