What was the Speech about?
A
How the Soviets have taken over Eastern Europe. It was also a Metaphor for how the taken over country’s now no longer had identity’s.

Why was the Speech made?
A
This speech was made to attempt to get America out of isolation to help combat the Soviet threat. It was also a threat to the Soviets that they know what they were doing.

USA and USSR Speech Reactions
A
For the USA, Truman’s perspective on the world changes, leading to America helping out Europe combat the Soviet threat.
As for the USSR they took it as a threat. They now want to strengthen USSR control.
