Who were the leaders at Potsdam?
.USSR-Stalin
.UK-Churchill (for half of it) and Atlee (for the other half of it)
.USA-Harry Truman (after Roosevelts death)
What did they argue over?
They disagreed over how many reparations the USSR could take from Germany, as well as the details of the boundaries between zones.
What conclusions came from Potsdam?
It was agreed that the USSR could take as many reparations from it’s zone of Germany as they wanted and 10-15% of the industrial equipment from the Western zones, and 10% of Reparations from the Western Zones. It also became apparent that Communists were coming to power in Eastern Europe.
Why was Stalin Furious with Truman?
Because he had not told Stalin about America’s Atomic bomb. Stalin was angry about how he was tricked.
