Atrovent Intro

A
  • An anticholinergic bronchodilator. It inhibits the vagal reflexes that mediate bronchospasm.
  • Combined with a nebulised short-acting beta-2 agonist (Salbutamol), Ipratropium bromide produces significantly greater bronchodilation than a short-acting beta-2 agonist alone.
