Zoonoses= infectious disease that people get from animals either directly or indirectly

  • 60% of pathogens of human beings are zoonoses
  • contact examples:
    • agriculture contact (farmers)
    • processing of animal product (workers)
    • outdoor activities (hikers/wildlife)
    • heath personell (labs/clinics)
