This I stage average daily intake of a nutrient that is needed to meet the nutritional requirements of the majority of people in a specific age or gender group.

Functions are jobs a nutrient carries out in the body

Deficiency disease are diseases that occur when the body is lacking a particular nutrient over a period of time

What is the difference between macro & micro nutrients?
Macronutrients are needed in large amounts, they must be digested by the body. Micronutrients are the opposite of the ones listed above
Why is a varied diet important ?
A variety diet is important to ensure you don’t get a deficiency disease of one nutrient and you get hypervitaminose from another
