Human resource management(HRM)
the business function that involves recruitment, training, compensation and motivation of employees to meet business objectives
Workforce planning
the process of forecasting how many and what type of employees are needed now and in the future
Recruitmenti
the process of seeking, finding and hiring people for a position in an organization
Labour turnover
the percentage of workers leaving the business in a period of time
Training
the process of teaching employees new skills or improving the skills they already have
Appraisal
an assessment of an employee’s performance
Dismissal
an act in which a business releases an employee for their job, usually because of poor work performance or misconduct
Redundancy
a situation where a particular job someone is doing is not required, and the business eliminates the position
Flexitime
flexible hours agreed and scheduled by the management and the employee
Labour mobility
the extent to which workers can move to a new location to take a job(geographical mobility) or change careers(occupational mobility)
Gig economy
the section of the economy that provides temporary work for freelancers
