Students from different professions learn about/with each other to enable collaboration and improve outcomes. It will optimize health services.

Healthcare workers provide services by collaborating with patients/family/communities. It benefits the patient because they have better treatment.

Professionals from different sectors communicate with each other in responsible and collaborative manner. Demonstrated through listening, verbal, non verbal. like charting or through the phone.
What is patient/family/community based care?
Professional seek out and integrate/value input of families/patient in planning care/services.
What is role clarification?
Professional understand their own role and role of others. Determines who has knowledge/skills to address needs of patient to distribute workload.
What is team functioning?
Professional understands work dynamics and team processes. Collaboration requires respect, trust, communication.
What is interprofessional conflict resolution?
Engage with self and others, Include patient to address disagreements. Set guidelines for addressing disagreements. Establish safe environment to express opinions.
What is collaborative leadership?
Stay focused on task and work more effective together. Support choice of leader depending on the situation. Apply leadership principles.
