Eccrine Glands
Found through the body except arm pit and groin, sweat under physical stress
Apocrine glands
Found in groin and armpit, sweat under emotion.
Epidemis
Thin outer layer, nutrients from the dernmis
Stratum Basale
Deepest layer of epidermis, closest to dermis
Stratum Corneum
Outer most layer of epidermis, composed of layers of dead skin
Dermis
Thick inner layer composed of tissues, muscles, and blood
Hypodermis/ Subcutaneous layer
Lies beneath the dermis, composed of loose connective tissues
Melanin
Dark pigment that provides skin color; produced by melanocytes

Older cells harden and move outward due to poor nutrient supply
