Laterally- mandibular ramus and zygomatic arch.
Medially- lateral pterygoid plate
Superiorly- greater wing of the sphenoid bone.
Anteriorly- Posterior surface of the maxilla, including maxillary tuberosity.
There are no boundaries inferiorly or posteriorly.
