Standard Precautions
Handwashing with soap and water
- gloves, gown, mask, goggles PRN use
- Used for the care of ALL CLIENTS
Airborne Precautions
Standard; Requires MASK
- N-95 mask for TB w/ negative airflow room
- gloves, gown, goggles PRN use
- client wears surgical mask when outside
- private room or roomies w/ client with the same organism
