What is a pathogen?

Microorganisms that enter the body and cause disease.
cause communicable diseases that can easily spread.
Both plants and animals can be infected by pathogens.

They are produced by bacteria.
They damage your cells and tissue and make you feel ill.

What is a protist?
A
Single celled eukaryotes.
Some are parasites-often transferred to organism by a vector, which doesn’t get the disease itself.

What is a communicable disease?
A
Diseases that can be spread from person to person or between animals and people.
They can be caused by things like bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi.
They are sometimes described as contagious or infectious diseases.
