Q

What is Traditional / Indigenous Healing? (5)

A

It’s a type of healing/medicine that has a holistic healing approach, meaning that they involve the whole person- spirit, body, and mind. Plants and herbs are popular medicines in traditional healing.
It can also be described as that type of ‘medicine’ where you go to a local person who has practised traditional healing, such as a sangoma (in SA), Ayurvedic practitioners (Persian and Arab influences) and Chinese Traditional healing.
