- job and education opportunities
- remittances to send back to India
- now many have British nationality

- increase in economy has more workforce and businesses - top immigrant workers in 2024
- introduce new cultures and religious festivals eg. Diwali in schools
- politics - House of Commons has 15 members of Indian heritage
- food - Indian takeaway 3x as popular as traditional fish and chips
- sports - cricket and Indian people representing England
