Idetity Diffusion
Individuals have not yet actively explored or committed to any particular identity. They might display indifference or confusion about their personal identity and aspirations.
Identity Foreclosure
Individuals make commitments to specific roles, values, or beliefs without engaging in extensive exploration of alternative options. Often influenced by external factors, such as parental expectations.
Identity Moratorium
Active exploration and experimentation with different roles, values, and beliefs. Actively seeking to understand themselves and may try out various identities before settling on one.
Identity Achievement
This stage marks the successful resolution of identity development. They possess a clear sense of who they are and what they stand for.
