Max’s injury was in his side. He got it when the Nazi soldier was shot and the Nazi’s pistol fired, wounding Max
Why did Aunt Hannah want to go to America? What probably kept Papa from going with her, Zena, and Max?
Aunt Hannah wanted to get away from the Nazi’s. Papa was probably hesitant because he didn’t want to take Max and Zena by surprise and leave.
Why were most Jews afraid of Nazi soldiers?
They were afraid of them because they hurt and hated the Jews.
Who blew up the Nazi train and why?
Aunt Hannah, Lev, and blew up the train because it carried lots of important war supplies for the Nazi’s.
