general investigations for hyponatraemia and why

Na
K - if raised when there is hyponatraemia, think ADDISON’S
urine sodium
TFTs - exclude hypothyroid
Random serum cortisol levels or ACTH stimulation test - looking for adrenal suppression

if dehydrated, can it be SIADH
A
no. siadh they are euvolemic or hypervolaemic. dehydration suggest another cause for hyponatraemia e.g. diuretics, renal failure

causes of hyponatraemia
A
Drugs (for example, thiazide diuretics).
SIADH - lung cancer!!!!!!!!
Heart failure
