Is where there is obstruction or compression of the urinary tract.
This cause dialation of ureter, renal pelvis + calyces

Flank or groin pain
Urinary tract infection

Ultrasound
Grading based on severity
Pyelography
CT scan to look for kidney stones

Treatment of hydronephrosis?
A
Relieve obstruction
Nephrostomy tube (drains urnine)
Ureteric stent (opens up urthera)
