Largely negative
Argue that scientific research methods are derived from and suited for the natural sciences
Not appropriate for studying the complexities of human consciousness and experience
How does the humanistic approach support nature/nurture
It assumes that our nature is to drive ourself to self -actualise
The problems in achieving self actualisation arise from our experiences and upbringings
