  • Black Death had ended war but 6 years later it started again;taxes had to be payed to fund the war
  • Peasants had to pay tax same amount as the rich (4pence) to fund France war
  • Peasants had no real freedom
  • wages went up in 1348 but were brought back down in 1351
  • the french were raiding villages and would destroy crops and steal property
