structuralism
the idea that mind operates by combining subjective emotions and sensations. It uses introspection where subjects are asked to record accurately their cognitive reactions to simple stimuli, to look at the basics of consciousness.

look at how our thoughts and behaviors vary from people living in other cultures. Emphasis on how culture influences the way we think and act.
